The live event coverage that has been chosen for this assignment was the “Complexions Contemporary Ballet,” performance that occurred in Buffalo, NY. This grande show occurred at the University Buffalo’s Center for the Arts Mainstage Theatre. The talent that was involved in this production included University Buffalo Performing Arts students, dance superstars Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson of the Complexions Contemporary Ballet Company, many of their company’s artistic directors and members including global contemporary ballet dancers of all levels, fashion designers, professional choreographers, musical composers, and stage directors. The significance the coverage of this event will hold for readers and viewers will be not only intriguing, but educational as well, especially for those who are lovers of the “arts.” This includes all areas of performing arts including dance, fashion designers, storytellers, writers, musicians, visual and creative artists, actors, entertainers, and more! This event was about expression of versatility, love, humanity, togetherness and music (where a major part of the performance included a tribute to famous musical artist Lenny Kravitz) and pure talent from performers all over the globe. The program was also celebrating its 30-year anniversary as a company which still holds strong value and implements a variety of music. The breathtaking performance showcased local talent. The live recording collected of the event will be presented to readers in week 8 of this course.
